For most of the year, the sand wastes see very little moisture. However, the splintering heat of the SStormcatcher's month brings hot, still air which brushes up against the warm, moist winds from the Viridian Labyrinth and results in spectacular thunderstorms that can last for days. During this season, wide pools that usually harbor sand are cleaned thoroughly and kept clear in order to collect water that falls from the skies. The Thundercrack Carnivale is a greatly celebrated occasion in Clan Epherus which normally boasts the most impressive storms, and during this festival most of the clan chooses to spend their time above ground to enjoy the moisture and take in the long-awaited scent of rain.
